Holy mother of rock, this is a true mashup masterpiece. DJ Schmolli is pure genius. Prepare for an epic journey through the gods of rock n’ roll.

Bob Dylan’s classic folk songs have reached a new level with this epic album of mashups by French bootlegger, DJ TomTom. While these are purely mashups and not quite mashstep, the album is a remarkable piece of work that needs to be shared.

With the bar set so high by Dub FX and Beardyman, it’s rare to find another great looper/beatboxer musician who truly rocks the house. It seems we have another contender in this arena. Although most of his music is a little on the mainstream pop side for my taste, this video shows his capacity for A Capella Dubstep.

This DJ mix takes you on a mashed-up, bootlegged and remixed ride through a myriad of musical genres and artists. It picks you up with care, shakes you around a bit with some heavy beats, and brings you back down to earth with a few chill remixes that make the way for a perfect landing. Most of the music is mashed up or remixed with dubstep, however it also dives into jungle, breaks and a little house. Every song on this DJ mix is an electronica mashup or remix of a musician that I really appreciate. I’m particularly thrilled with many of the tracks on this mix as well as how the slicing, dicing, mixing, programming and mastering all came out. I hope you enjoy this one!

Indian Bass Music from Sea of Dreams 2012

I was invited to DJ at the Hookahdome stage at SF’s legendary New Year’s Eve event, Sea of Dreams for the 2012 event. Anyone who’s danced at the Hookahdome at Burning Man or other events knows of the magestic Indian and World Beat music that it’s famous for. True to form, I created this DJ set of Indian breaks, glitch, and bass music.
